You mean Instaflam? Then, oh yes, me too.

Substack is much more friendly than Instagram for sure. A bit more productive too—because even if you’re “doomscrolling,” it with great writing!

This makes me feel so seen 🙌🏻 IG used to be a safe place, now it just feels gross. I’m still hanging on for now, but I don’t think it’ll be long 😬

ugh needed to hear this! I have been wanting to limit my instagram usage for a while now... so why can't I seem to shake it. This post provided a great and clear way forward... fall in love with Substack instead.

Reid, have you tried limiting screen time through the app? I did that and it works wonders for me.

Oh my goodness I feel this so deeply. I'm trying to decide if I should do the same. For now, I'm going to double all content between here and IG for a month and compare.

You are literally speaking my mind, Olivia! I’m having the same considerations and I’m also huge on meditating for insights - thought I must admit I haven’t received any guides for breaking temporarily up with IG or not. For that I’ll need my tarot cards 😂

I've been having this conversation with so many people lately, we are certainly not the only ones! Also love me some tarot readings haha

Victoria, what does your tarot cards say about IG though? 🤔

In the wild growing ecosystem of social media, substack feels like a blessing after years of unanswered prayers. Great piece.

I wholeheartedly agree! It's what I've been looking for, for many years. Cheers, Daniel!

Olivia, I read The Rewind too. She's a good friend of mine on Substack. Thank you so much for sharing your story too 🧡

Curious question olivia, any reason why you're still planning on going back to Instagram even though you sense the shift happening? I've been here a week and absolutely love the change of culture and climate here so totally understand the love for it but don't know that I can still justify the 10 yr relationship I've had with Instagram

Truly resonate with this. Nicely written and very true. Funny that I deactivated my ig account like 3 month ago and, although I still think about reactivating it from time to time. I feel Substack is just massively superior, specially if you are into long format content :)
